The Slovenian version prevails in case of differences.
Gobe is a learning aid that helps beginners get to know mushrooms through questions, image comparison and an atlas.
The app does not identify mushrooms. A quiz result is a possible match, not an identification. Some deadly poisonous mushrooms look very similar to edible ones, and the app knows only a limited number of common species.
Never eat a mushroom based on the app alone. Show it to a mushroom expert first, e.g. at a mycological society. If you suspect poisoning, call 112 immediately.
The app is provided free of charge and “as is”. Its content is based on published sources, listed with each mushroom, but despite care it may contain errors or be incomplete.
The author is not liable for any damage arising from using or relying on the app — in particular not for consequences of eating mushrooms. Use is at your own risk. This does not affect consumer rights that cannot be excluded by law.
When picking, follow the regulations (e.g. at most 2 kg of mushrooms per person per day under the Slovenian Regulation on the protection of wild fungi; do not pick protected species) and the Mushroom Picker’s Code of the Mycological Association of Slovenia. A summary is in the app’s Gathering tab.
How the app handles data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
These terms may change; the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
